An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Chuala mé do ghuí agus chonaic mé do dheora.

2 Ríthe 20:5

Glanfaidh sé gach deoir óna súile, agus ní bheidh an bás ann feasta, ná ní bheidh caoineadh ná olagón ná pian ann a thuilleadh, óir tá an seansaol thart.

Apacailipsis (Taispeántadh) 21:4

2 Ríthe 20 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

2 D’iompaigh Hiziciá a aghaidh ar an mballa agus chuir sé an ghuí seo chun an Tiarna:
3 “Cuimhnigh, impím ort, mar a d’iompair mé mé féin go dílis agus le dúthracht chroí i do láthair agus a rinne mé an ceart i do láthair.” Agus ghoil Hiziciá go fuíoch.
4 Sula raibh an chúirt mheánach fágtha ag Íseáia tháinig focal an Tiarna chuige:
5 “Cas ar do sháil agus abair le Hiziciá, prionsa mo phobail: ‘Seo mar a deir an Tiarna, Dia Dháiví do shinsear: Chuala mé do ghuí agus chonaic mé do dheora. Déanfaidh mé thú a leigheas; faoi cheann trí lá rachaidh tú suas go Teampall an Tiarna.
6 Tabharfaidh mé cúig bliana déag d’fhad saoil duit. Déanfaidh mé thusa agus an chathair seo a fhuascailt ó láimh rí na hAsaíre, agus déanfaidh mé an chathair seo a chosaint ar mo shon féin agus ar son mo shearbhónta Dáiví.’”
7 Dúirt Íseáia: “Tugtar ceirín figí anseo, agus [tógtar agus cuirtear leis an neascóid é le go leigheasfaí] an rí.”
8 Dúirt Hiziciá le hÍseáia: “Cén comhartha a inseoidh dom go leigheasfaidh an Tiarna mé agus go mbeidh mé ag dul suas go Teampall an Tiarna faoi cheann trí lá?”

Apacailipsis (Taispeántadh) 21 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

1 Ansin chonaic mé neamh nua agus talamh nua. Bhí an chéad neamh agus an chéad talamh bailithe leo agus gan an fharraige ann feasta.
2 Agus chonaic mé an chathair naofa, an Iarúsailéim nua, ag teacht anuas ó na flaithis, ó Dhia agus í ullamh maisithe mar nuachair i gcomhair a fir chéile.
3 Agus chuala mé guth tréan ón ríchathaoir á rá: “Féach, tá áitreabh Dé fara daoine, agus cónóidh sé ina measc, agus beidh siad ina bpobal aige, agus beidh Dia féin faru.
4 Glanfaidh sé gach deoir óna súile, agus ní bheidh an bás ann feasta, ná ní bheidh caoineadh ná olagón ná pian ann a thuilleadh, óir tá an seansaol thart.”
5 Ansin dúirt an té a bhí ina shuí sa ríchathaoir: “Féach, tá gach aon ní á dhéanamh nua agam.” Agus ar sé: “Scríobh. Óir is dílis agus is fírinneach iad na focail seo.”
6 Agus dúirt sé liom: “Tá sé curtha i gcrích. Mise Alfa agus Óimige, an tús agus an deireadh. An té a bhfuil tart air tabharfaidh mé rud le hól dó in aisce ó thobar uisce na beatha.
7 An té a bhéarfaidh bua, beidh na nithe seo mar oidhreacht aige, agus beidh mise i mo Dhia aige, agus beidh seisean ina mhac agam.

English Standard Version

I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears.

2 Kings 20:5

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Revelation 21:4

2 Ríthe 20 (English Standard Version)

2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, saying,
3 “Now, O Lord, please remember how I have walked before you in faithfulness and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 And before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him:
5 “Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord,
6 and I will add fifteen years to your life. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city for my own sake and for my servant David's sake.”
7 And Isaiah said, “Bring a cake of figs. And let them take and lay it on the boil, that he may recover.”
8 And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?”

Apacailipsis (Taispeántadh) 21 (English Standard Version)

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.
7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
