Christ was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.
1 Peter 3:18
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:11
17
For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil. |
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, |
19 in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, |
10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. |
11
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. |
12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. |
